Daughter Susan came through and I began my reading odyssey the first of the week. When I got to “The Gambler” by Paolo Bacigalupi, lots of bells and whistles went off. I suspect you identify to some degree with Ong and step back a bit at the thought of the malesltrom concept - but that could be where we are headed. More than one Marty Mackley out there. Your blog is incredibly interesting and edifying, and you're the real deal when it comes to expressing the depth and beauty contained in an artistic work.
