  1. Thanks, Brad, for the shout-out. But, um, (cough) those are actually words about spinning, not knitting. Trust me, there’s a difference!

Okay–off to check out the other links!

  2. Deb, See, this is why I need an editor and not to wait so long to post these links. I appreciate the clarification and apologize for the error. Next time I need an editor, I’m going to look you up!

  3. Thanks for the link love, Brad. Oh, I go bonkers when I see I typed a word and thought something else. I might type “whine” when I meant “why.” Worse, is when I type “your” when I mean “you’re” and I *do* know (double checking to be sure it’s not “no”) the difference.

Fingers. Brain. Get in sync! :)

  4. Hi Meryl, It’s always good to have a second set of eyes review things, but for blogging, it’s not very practical, is it?

  5. No, it’s not, Brad. I’m forgiving of blogger typos and such because the point of blogging is to write it down and throw it up. If we spend time trying to proof, edit, sit on it, wait for fresh eyes — we’d hardly get any posts live. Articles, however, are a different story.

  7. No worries, Brad! As a rule, people who knit are used to people who don’t being confused. My favorite was when the Yarn Harlot–like, THE rock star of the knitting world–was knitting on a subway and a little boy asked her what she was doing. She said, “Knitting,” and the boy’s mother corrected her. “Actually, what she’s doing is crocheting.” Um … wouldn’t the person DOING it know? Especially when she’s written a number of books about it?

But, anyway, spinning is how you make the yarn, knitting is (one of the possiblities for) what you do with it.
