Improve Conversions with Remarketing
Remarketing is an extremely useful – but widely overlooked – component of online marketing. Essentially, remarketing allows you to display online ads to your very best pool of prospects – current customers and people who have already visited your site.
If conversion optimization is an important part of your Web strategy – and it should be – remarketing has a crucial role to play. Remarketing is vital for e-commerce sites, which are all about conversion, but it can play a crucial role in the performance of lead generation sites as well as corporate “billboard” sites.
How does remarketing work?
When visitors come to your site, we identify and track them, along with existing customers. We are then able to target them for ads when they visit other websites. Since these folks are either existing customers or have an interest in your products and services, they are far more likely to click through those ads, either to make a purchase or take some other type of action.
As a social media marketer, one thing that appeals to me about remarketing is that it takes quite a bit of the spam factor out of display advertising.
