  1. Hi Brad,

I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas.

I certainly didn’t know that, and judging by that clip, he has obviously changed a great deal, although I suppose some of the different look may result from different styling, and class actors are able to adopt different accents according to the required situation.

Very clever clip – although it took me a minute or two to pick it up.

  2. Hi Andrew, We did have a wonderful Christmas, and hope you did, too. I love British humor of this type, probably from years and years of watching Monty Python.

  3. Thanks Brad, I had an absolutely wonderful Christmas as well.

Although spending Christmas away from my family is always difficult, I was privileged to get together and celebrate the occasion with a few close friends from the small town in which I live.

Christmas is much different over here in Korea when compared to many western countries. The Christians over here are very passionate about the occasion, probably more so than in the west, and it is a public holiday. Nevertheless, although some families meet together on the day, it does not seem to be a great big deal from the viewpoint of those outside of Christian communities. Nor is there any significant commercial aspect to the season.

For many, it seems as if Buddha’s birthday in May is a celebration to which they attach a considerably greater level of importance and significance than that which they attach to Christmas Day.

  4. Hi Andrew, sorry you were not able to be with your family, but the Korean version of Christmas sounds like a very spiritual experience. Thank you for sharing the background.

  5. I love Hugh Laurie, and wonderful as he is as House (though I’m getting bored with the show), I loved him first as Bertie Wooster…

  6. Deb, Funny you mention that. I’m finding “House” a little stale these days as well. Still, the show is worth watching just for the stellar acting.

  7. I had no idea Hugh Laurie was a comedian, although he is funny on House but in a different way. This sketch was hilarious! Thank goodness for YouTube and Hulu, we can catch up on things we missed from the past.

  8. Karen, If any site could keep me from working for ten hours straight, it would be YouTube, and I know a few people who pretty much live at Hulu.
